Graduating from nursing school is such an incredible accomplishment, and this Merrimack College graduation session was such a beautiful way to celebrate Nicole’s hard work and dedication throughout her college journey.
We explored several areas around Merrimack College in North Andover, Massachusetts, capturing a mix of classic cap and gown portraits, candid graduation moments and more editorial-style photos around campus. Spring graduation season at Merrimack always creates such a beautiful atmosphere for graduation portraits, especially with the campus architecture, flowers and meaningful academic locations throughout the school.
One of my favorite parts of this session was incorporating details that represented Nicole’s nursing journey, including her nursing stole, stethoscope and graduation cap. These small details make graduation sessions feel even more personal and meaningful, especially after years of long study nights, clinicals, exams and dedication.
I also loved mixing traditional graduation portraits with more natural and relaxed photos throughout campus. The combination of the Merrimack College architecture, soft spring colors and Nicole’s white dress created such a timeless and elegant look for the session.
Graduation sessions are always about more than just taking photos. They are about documenting a huge life milestone and preserving memories from such an important season of life before everything changes and new chapters begin.
