If you're dreaming about a Boston Public Library wedding, Jackie and Kevin's wedding is a beautiful example of why this historic venue is one of the most iconic places to get married in Boston. Their day started at their cozy waterfront home in Hull, Massachusetts, continued with a heartfelt ceremony inside the stunning Guastavino Room at the Boston Public Library, and ended with a celebration aboard the Henry Longfellow on Boston Harbor.
Every part of the day felt relaxed, joyful, and full of genuine moments—the kind of wedding I absolutely love photographing.
Getting Ready at Their Waterfront Home in Hull, Massachusetts
The day began at Jackie and Kevin's adorable waterfront home in Hull, Massachusetts. It was one of those perfect July mornings—blue skies, warm sunshine, and a beautiful ocean view that immediately set the tone for the day.
Jackie was getting ready while family members chatted, laughed, and helped each other with the final details. There was no rush or stress. It simply felt like everyone was excited to celebrate together.
One of the sweetest parts of the morning was spending time with their puppy, Lucky.
Lucky was incredibly curious about everything happening around him. He followed everyone through the house, watched all the excitement, and even gave me one of my favorite photographs of the day as he quietly looked out the window, almost wondering where everyone was going. Moments like these always become some of my favorites because they tell the complete story of the wedding day.
Before leaving for Boston, we stepped outside for family portraits with the ocean behind us. The waterfront setting couldn't have been a more beautiful way to begin the day.
The Celebration Started Before They Reached Boston
One thing I loved about this wedding was that the celebration didn't wait until the ceremony.
Jackie, Kevin, and many of their family and friends traveled together on a limousine bus to Boston, and from the photos, you can already see everyone smiling, laughing, and enjoying every minute together.
Although I met them at the Boston Public Library, you could immediately tell everyone was already in celebration mode.
A Beautiful Boston Public Library Wedding in the Guastavino Room
When everyone arrived at the Boston Public Library, we took advantage of the beautiful front entrance for a few portraits before the ceremony. It's such an iconic Boston landmark, and the grand entrance makes the perfect backdrop for wedding photos before heading inside.
The ceremony took place in the incredible Guastavino Room, one of the most beautiful and recognizable wedding venues in Boston.
If you've never been inside, the Guastavino Room is absolutely breathtaking. The historic brick walls, elegant arches, beautiful tile vaults, and warm lighting create a timeless and romantic atmosphere. It's the perfect space for couples planning an intimate Boston Public Library wedding.
Jackie and Kevin chose to celebrate with a small group of their closest family and friends, making every moment feel personal.
One detail made the ceremony even more meaningful.
Instead of hiring a professional officiant, Jackie asked her best friend to marry them. He created a ceremony inspired by the vows Jackie and Kevin had written for each other, making every word feel personal, emotional, and completely unique to them.
You could truly feel how much everyone in the room loved and supported them. There wasn't a dry eye by the end of the ceremony.
Portraits in the Guastavino Room
After the ceremony, we stayed inside the Guastavino Room for portraits of Jackie and Kevin before inviting their families and closest friends to join them.
The architecture of the room is incredible, and every corner creates a beautiful backdrop without taking the attention away from the couple. The warm brick, elegant arches, and historic details make the Guastavino Room one of my favorite places for wedding portraits in Boston.
These are some of my favorite images from the day because they feel classic, timeless, and full of genuine emotion.
A Bubble Exit Full of Smiles
Once everyone stepped outside the Boston Public Library, the celebration continued.
Since only a limited number of guests could attend the ceremony inside the Guastavino Room, many family members and friends were waiting outside to celebrate with Jackie and Kevin.
As they walked through the front doors, they were welcomed with cheers, hugs, and hundreds of floating bubbles.
It was such a fun surprise and one of those moments that happened naturally. Everyone was smiling, laughing, and celebrating together, creating some of the happiest photographs from the entire wedding day.
Celebrating on the Henry Longfellow
After leaving the Boston Public Library, everyone headed to the Henry Longfellow, one of the beautiful yachts from Classic Harbor Line Boston, for an evening celebration on Boston Harbor.
The energy was contagious from the moment everyone arrived. Friends and family cheered as Jackie and Kevin stepped off the limousine bus before making their way to the boat.
Before boarding, we captured a few final portraits by the harbor, and then it was time for everyone to climb aboard the Henry Longfellow and continue the celebration on the water.
It was the perfect way to end an unforgettable summer wedding in Boston.
